John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
These verses most often open up the never ending debate on the reality of the trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit). Albeit we lose focus on the substance of the Word and why it lives in our lives. God was with the Word in the beginning and the Word was with Him. They lived together as a team and did all things together. As team members, they had individual roles from the beginning.
Though God is the creator, He did not create anything on His own (John 1:3). It is unclear if God could have created the world without the Word. However, the royalty of God gives credence to the the fact that He constantly relies on His subjects to do His will. God relied on angels to deliver messages to human beings and also carried out divine assignments (Daniel 10:3, Revelations 12:7, Luke 1:19, Acts 5:19, Zechariah 1:8-10). Very few records of God doing things on His own are available. For instance, God wrote the ten commandments on tablets of stone for Moses with His fingers (Deuteronomy 9:10).
The Word was God because God delegated His role to the Word during creation. It is important to understand the Word as a supreme being and not a set of intelligible words that orders Christians to march in faith. The Word was with God as an identifiable being and not in God as divine commands God activates at will. When God said, “let there be light”, it was the Word that brought the light into being. It was the Word that formed man and woman. The Word is ever ready to act on what God says. The Word has power to create and to destroy. The Word is God’s “doing arm”. There are many other words that are not the same as the Word of God; the words of men and satan. There are also words of being that are activated to operate in the physical or the spiritual (Matthew 12:36-37). You have the power to pronounce death and life with your tongue (Proverbs 18:21). What characterizes the Word of God is the will of God and not the will of men and the devil.
This calls for the reenactment of the trinity (God, The Word and His will). It is important to continuously acknowledge the fact that GOD WILL not do anything without His WORD. As God remains the same yesterday today and forever, He will surely continue to do things only at Will with His Word (Hebrews 13:8). Everything that God created, creates and about to create shall be created with His Word according to His Will. One of the key responsibilities of Christians is to know the Will of God. Without knowing the Will of God, the Word of God becomes dormant, meaningless and oftentimes destructive. This trinity created the world and remains powerful to make way in the wilderness and streams in the deserts of your life.
God created us in His image and likeness so we can imagine like Him, create like Him, act like Him and like what He likes. Where man or woman is unable to do so, the absence of the trinity is highly probable. God waits upon His children to speak His Word in His Will. Many believe that God has three answers to their prayers ie. Yes, No, Wait. However, when you pray or ask God according to His Will, the answer is always Yes. A no or a wait means God is suffocating His Will and therefore a denial of the unbreakable bond within the trinity. One may know the Word or have the Word but without knowing the Will of God, it is impossible to receive from God at the expected time. Knowing the Will of God is by revelation. A new kind of knowledge known as the revelational knowledge, which God has provided in the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 11:2). When you know one will be healed, you command healing with confidence, knowing and believing that at the sound of your voice healing manifests.
To live and die for God requires nothing but the Will of God (Romans 14:8). The Word of God is power available to do God’s Will. Knowing the written word of God is a plus in Christianity, but having the Word of God in your heart is the game changer. The written Word of God (Logos) dwells in the mind but the revealed Word of God (Rhema) lives in the heart of Christians. You will not sin against God with His Word in your heart. “Bible can be found in the library, but Holy Bible is in the heart” (Prophet TB Joshua). Sin takes dominion when the Word vacates your heart and dwells as the word on your mind. The Word in your heart makes you become Christ in your heart. When Christ is in your heart, healing is real, deliverance is real, prosperity is real, love is even more real. Christ walks where ever you walk and speaks whenever you speak.
Many may know about God but refuse to make His Word real in their lives. God looks out for His Word to attend to your needs. As you speak the Word of God from your heart, the power of God shall be real in your life according to His Will in Jesus’s name, Amen!
