Building Confidence in God by Samuel Excellence

THEME SCRIPTURE:

Hebrews 13:5-6 (KJV)

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. [6] So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

MESSAGE:

A crucial aspect of our walk with God, is learning TO SAY what He HAS SAID! In fact, we’re not just to say it; we’re admonished to say it BOLDLY!

We learnt from yesterday’s devotion, that when you say to yourself for first time the promise of God you’ve believed, a seed is sown in the realm of the Spirit.

As you keep saying the same promise to yourself over and over again, you’re watering the seed sown. It won’t be long when you’d be eating the fruit of your confession.

The same principle is elucidated in our theme Scripture today. You’ve got to search the Scriptures and find out what God has said concerning you. When you find it, believe it, but don’t stop at believing; you’ve got to boldly say to yourself what you’ve believed, over and over again.

This is how we build confidence in God; by taking Him at His Word and acting on it. Nobody will do it for you; you’ve got to do it for yourself and you will enjoy your walk with God.
